I combined it because there’s only one option for discord support anyway, but yea, I should have done it better. Considering that this is something people seem to care a lot about, I 'm hesitant to just set something up and use that for now and migrate later. Considering that more votes aren’t pulling in, do we make a new poll with the new options, let it roll for 3 days,and then set it up?
I think we close now. We know for a fact matrix + discourse won. The next poll should be whether we support discord with a bridge or not.
We don’t though, zulip might win if all the matrix +discord voters split amongst other options. That said, I’m not against just choosing something right now if there’s enough consensus considering that as the community grows the poll would shift anyway
The way I see it, the matrix + discourse + discord bridge voters would still vote matrix + discourse if they were aware that we might provide a discord bridge.
Currently Infra is bringing up conduit. Should be up shortly. Continuing the poll at this point doesn’t make sense. On the other hand, if anyone would like to have support for discord please make a seperate topic. However it’s unlikely that zulip or other would win the poll as is. Maybe this topic can be revisited when the community is larger.
