From our June 8 meeting, here’s the first version of the Nix built-in / Nixpkgs lib reference page. This is a high-level explanation of each of the different categories of lib
functions, and links to resources to learn more.
For folks who didn’t attend: the idea behind this is to make it easier to find the right function depending on what you want to accomplish with Nix. There are so many built-in functions and nixpkgs.lib functions, and while there’s a lot of documentation on what they do, there’s no obvious way to find a function based on what you want to achieve. This page hopefully provides a good starting place.
