Agenda
- Wiki pages
- Community
- Starting guides
- @minion: A lot of migration guide and install guide content has been removed after steering committee decision to not soft fork.
- Templates
- @minion: We’d like to make some templates that can be used on similar pages (eg: starting committee page).
- WikiJS navigation kinda sucks
- @dfh: Maybe we can use Sitemap Generator for WikiJS
- @minion: We’ll likely have to make a custom navigator
- @dfh: Can we make it so when a folder has a default page it exactly opens.
- WikiJS has its own comments section
- @dfh: There’s a write permission bit for them, let’s just remove this permission bit.
- @8bitbuddhist: Maybe we have a page in the forum for directing people with comments.
- Docs browser site
- @minion: It exists: Docs Website.
- @dfh: I prefer the no-JS version, if we can use this then we don’t need better wikijs navigation.
- @minion: we need to set up CI for auto sync.
- Update on project and code standards
- Steering committee decision
- @minion: We will be using nixfmt-rfc-style.
- @minion: Naming conventions in line with what we are doing, actual standards available on the wiki already.
- @minion: Regarding Divnix/std, we will not be using it as it’s quite hard to read for new people, and also because Divnix/hive has no documentation, and a readme which says “It is forbidden to modify this readme → read the code!”, so we think it doesn’t align best with project values.
- Treefmt
- @minion: We still want to get templates with treefmt set up soon.
- @8bitbuddhist: Add a page to the wiki about how to add all the formatters and things.
- @dfh: especially regarding wiki, look at GitHub - tcort/markdown-link-check: checks all of the hyperlinks in a markdown text to determine if they are alive or dead
- GitHub - UmbrellaDocs/linkspector: Uncover broken links in your content. seems to be the successor tool
- @8bitbuddhist: what about confusion over what is the canonical docs site?
- Steering committee decision
