I would agree with you in a world with perfect uptime by default, no national blocking, and zero privacy concerns about connecting to a bunch of different networks. That’s quite a lot for every single update of a system.

And this is obv. still ignoring non-flake systems.

We will still be supporting non-flake systems and projects, so our solutions need to work in both cases.
