Reason: I’m not a programmer, but I want to help contribute to open source in any way I can. Nix has always philosophically made a lot of sense to me with things being declarative, but the incredibly confusing documentation made it a hassle to learn. I’d like to help make things better for new people.
Experience: I have no examples of technical writing or otherwise, unfortunately. But I’m an English tutor, and one of my most successful areas of tutelage has been college admission essays. I have students who have made it into top US public and private universities such as Cornell, UC Berkeley, USC, and University of Michigan. I’m definitely more of an editor than an author, but I can do both. I recently returned to using Nix upon hearing about this project. I have a few months experience daily driving it and have managed to mostly learn how the language works.
